NGOs

This document answers common questions from NGOs seeking service providers within the ecosystem and using the IPN to find the right one.

For NGOs:

Are the services offered by providers free, or do they have a cost?
The charges of the services offered vary depending on the service provider. Some of them can provide the service for free and some of them charge it up to the service provider what cost model they want to go ahead with.
How can NGOs connect with service providers through the directory?
NGOs can click the "Connect with Service Provider" button and fill out a simple form with their basic information. Once submitted, if the request is of interest to the service provider, they may reach out to the NGO directly.
Are service provider listings verified by the IPN team?
Every Service Provider (organisation or individual) listed on the directory has either engaged with Sattva/IPN, or the IPN team has done a basic check on their credentials. However, NGO users must use their own discretion before making any decisions based on this information.
What should an NGO do if it faces issues with a service provider after connecting through IPN?
If an NGO faces issues with a service provider after connecting through IPN, they should reach out to the IPN team (ipn@indiapartnernetwork.org) to share their feedback. While IPN acts as a connector and does not mediate disputes, feedback is valuable in maintaining the quality of listings and can help inform future improvements to the directory.
Can NGOs leave feedback for a service provider?
Currently, feedback for a service provider cannot be shared directly on IPN, but you are welcome to share this feedback via email to ipn@indiapartnernetwork.org.
What was the process followed by IPN in curating the service provider list?
Initially, IPN team reached out to a few service providers in the ecosystem after secondary research gathered information on how these providers can be helpful to small and medium-sized NGOs.After checking for accuracy of the service provider’s details and looking at their past experience, they were listed on the IPN directory.
After the directory launch, we have onboarded new provider who have expressed interest via the EoI form. The process followed is the same: we request for background details of the provider (if the partner is not known to Sattva or IPN) and then after verifying these we list the partner on the directory.
What efforts is the IPN team is taking to keep these listings up to date?
Every 6 months, the IPN team sends a form to the providers to review and update their listing.
What the “Verified by IPN” label mean?
The “Verified by IPN” label (with a green tick mark) for a service provider (individual or consultant) means the IPN team has followed the above process and verified all the information mentioned in the specific service provider entry in the directory.
